Ireland made that a bit more tricky than it had to be by losing cheap wickets but they got home in the end with three wickets to spare. Kevin O'Brien's knock was crucial in the chase aided by Thompson and finished off by Mooney.
The final game of the series takes place on Friday where Scotland will search for consolation and Ireland, the whitewash. Ryan Bailey's report of the day should be up soon but from me Conor Hayes in a sunny Malahide, it's goodbye.
