So that wraps things up at Hamilton. The cricket caravan will more on to Auckland now on Saturday. So do join us then. Thank you for your company, and do keep an eye out for Andrew Fernando's match report
"Good surface for batting, came on nicely. Really enjoyed myself, it was my home ground in 2010 when I came here. Enjoying my bowling as well, got more than 20 wickets in the last six months. Didn't turn much, but I put the ball in the right areas and made the batsman make the play," says Tillakaratne Dilshan, the Man of the Match
"Four run-outs is not good enough," says Brendon McCullum. "Little bit of panic set in and something we've prided on not doing too much recently. We were threatening a 300 score, but not good enough. But we just have to learn from the mistakes. It was a 290-300 wicket, some of the bowlers bowled really well and they will be better for the experience. But against a player like Dilshan in that form, it can be daunting. Everyone knows it's tough on Henry and Neesham, but we can only have 15. But it's a good experience and with three weeks left, they might still be included in the World Cup. Frustrating that I was dismissed before the powerplay, and not being able to set up a good total"
"Pretty pleasing with the way the boys went about things," says Angelo Mathews. "They got off to a brilliant start, McCullum batted very well but our spinners pulled things back and the fielders made four run-outs. Clinical work. Pitch looked slow so we brought Herath in and it worked. We need to continue in the same manner, working very hard on the fielding. Brilliant innings from Dilshan, we want one of the top four to bat through the innings"
9.10 pm The players shake hands under the backdrop of a rosy sunset. There appeared to be only one result as soon as Tillakaratne Dilshan took control. His drives were sumptuous, his pulls blared authority and his hunt for singles was never-ending. Quite the template for an openers' innings during a chase. But his 19th ODI ton became match-winning because Sri Lanka's spinners and fielders had turned the tables on a rampaging New Zealand innings earlier. Stay with us for the presentation
Tom: "This shows exactly why Sri Lanka should play to their strengths. Herath is a world class spinner and should always be included in the team rather than a 3rd fast bowler who wouldn't be anywhere near the team if not for these "fast bowlers'" pitches"
END OF OVER:47 | 8 Runs | SL: 247/4 (2 runs required from 18 balls, RR: 5.25, RRR: 0.66)
- Angelo Mathews35 (45b)
- Lahiru Thirimanne1 (2b)
- Trent Boult10-1-52-0
- Matt Henry9-0-29-2
Brad: "The two things NZ would have wanted from this match are Milne to show he's better than Henry and runs from somebody other than McCullum. Oops."

Sri Lanka in a World Cup funk
For a Sri Lanka fan, the team's losing streak in the New Zealand ODIs is perhaps the equivalent of getting paralysed by poison. Your body is immobile giving the impression that you've died, but inside, you are still very much alive. Screaming.
