Once again the Lightning have swept aside their opponents to pick up the victory, reaching their target just in time to pick up another bonus point. Tim Tector and Chris De Freitas have been very impressive throughout the competition and made sure that the Reds bowlers couldn't pick up the early wickets that would have been needed to defend this total. It did feel that at the half way mark that the Reds total was underpar, and so it proved. Riley did manage to pick up two wickets, although that was due to players not timing the big hit. With the Eight wicket victory, the Lightning pick up another bonus point victory and move to 42 point, double the Knights point total who are in second place in the table. That's domination for you. We have just heard from the Umpires that David Delany is the Player of the Match. Which is fully deserved after he ripped out the Reds middle order. That's the end of our coverage of the first game of the day, although at 3:45pm this afternoon the Northern Knights are going to be playing the North West Warriors. Please join me then. Until the, this is Justin Smyth saying goodbye from Pembroke.
