4.55pm Bad news everyone, the rain has returned and so the Umpires have decided that there is no chance even if the rain stopped now for the ground to be ready before the cut off. The Bready Hoodoo continues I'm afraid. Hopefully the weather will clear for the IP50 game tomorrow. Until then this is Justin saying goodbye from Bready.

4.30pm Good news, the rain has stopped. The Umpires have been out for a look at the damage, and are going to have another look at 5pm. The cut off for a 5 over game is 6.15pm. Fingers crossed that we don't have any more rain. Some sun would be nice too.

4.00pm It's still raining here, although it does seem to be getting a little brighter. I'm sure that I can see a little blue sky up there, although I don't know if that's me just being positive. A lot of rain has fallen, and the groundstaff are out in the middle shovelling the water towards the blotter. We have started to lose overs here. Let's hope that we can have some better news soon!

3.20pm Just as the players were starting their warm-ups, dark cloud rolled in and it's started raining. The rain is due to be with us for about 30 minutes, after that the Radar looks clear. Let's hope that this shower doesn't do too much damage! Will let you know when we get an update.

3.00pm The news from the middle is that the Lightning have won the toss and will be bowling first today. Not a surprise with the amount of cloud cover that's hanging over the ground. Playing XI's coming up!

Warriors XI: Andy McBrine (capt), Stephen Doheny (wk), Shane Getkate, Gavin Roulston, Kian Hilton, Graham Hume, Cameron Melly, Ryan Macbeth, Scott Macbeth, Marcello Piedt, Jared Wilson

Lightning XI: Sam Harbinson (Captain), Séamus Lynch (WK), Tim Tector Swapnil Modgil, Chris De Freitas, Dylan Lues, Jack Lalor David Delany, Gavin Hoey, Amish Sidhu, Reuben Wilson

Afternoon Everyone, my name is Justin Smyth and here on ESPNcricinfo, I'm going to be bringing you coverage of the Cricket Ireland IP20 match between the North-West Warriors and the Leinster Lightning. For the first time this year, we are here at Bready Cricket Club for what should be an exciting game between these two evenly matched teams.

Two weeks ago, Andy McBrine's men picked up their first win of the season with Cameron Melly hitting the ball to the boundary to beat the Northern Knights with one ball to spare. After Visa issues meant that he couldn't join up with Ireland at the Tri-Series in the Netherlands, Graham Hume is a welcome addition to the Warriors bowling attack.

Four wins out of four, it's been a perfect start for this Lightning team and they sit eight points clear of the Northern Knights in second place. Tim Tector has been in sparkling form so far this season, leads the run scoring charts with 198 runs in the four games so far. It's all about taking the opportunities whilst the Ireland internationals are away, and as he is averaging 66 so far in the IP20, he is certainly impressing.

Whenever we play here at Bready, one eye is always on the sky. It's been great so far this season that we've been able to get all of the games completed. There has been a bit of rain earlier on this afternoon, so the toss has been put back to 3.00pm. I'm feeling positive that we will get some play today. Fingers crossed that the bad luck that has haunted the T20 festivals up here over the past few years don't affect these stand alone games.
