6.40pm So West Indies left with a mountain to climb. Superb batting by Pakistan who have made full use of the conditions on offer. Shoaib Malik set the tone with those three sixes in a single over off Sulieman Benn and played a thoroughly entertaining 90. But the hero of the innings was Babar Azam who fought the sapping heat to raise his second consecutive century. And, of course, Sarfaraz Ahmed, whose late cameo was just as valuable and ensured Pakistan got the late flourish to the innings that was needed. West Indies didn't help their cause with some poor bowling in the final Powerplay. They bowled too many short deliveries and became a tad predictable with their changes of pace. And Jason Holder's captaincy wasn't up to the mark. Two overs from Sunil Narine, the best bowler by far, were left unused. West Indies have plenty to ponder about after this performance. Not all is lost yet though. It's still a flat deck and there are plenty of runs on offer. But West Indies must fight the exhaustion after fielding under that heat. And history doesn't paint a favourable picture either, with West Indies never having chased more than 300 to win an ODI before. Join us shortly for the chase.
Shafaqat: "Only because of poor bowling, i thought Babar and Malik played well, didn't they?" Absolutely. I was referring to the quick runs in the last few overs. Not to say that Sarfaraz didn't play well, but West Indies didn't help their cause with their bad lines and lengths.
