8:45pm A thunderous ending to the innings, and that has gotten the Super Gillies closer to where they would have wanted to be. Aparajith was the glue throughout that innings and kept things ticking, even as those around him fell. Tanwar then provided the pyrotechnics alongside his skipper to ensure CSG ransacked 58 in the final five.

The Dragons, on the other hand, would feel they could have kept CSG to a much lower score. Aparajith was dropped off the second ball he faced and their fielding in general was not up to scratch. Ashwin and Charavarthy could also not make the most of the conditions, with Bhati and Vignesh the only consistent bright spots in their bowling effort. They will still be confident of chasing this down, but they might have just left the door ajar for the four-time champions. Join us in a bit for the run-chase!

Abhishek Tanwar: (On batting lower down and his role) In our team, we have super batters in the top five or six. I have been given that role and I have that freedom (to hit at the death). Low scores do not last for top-quality batters and in the big game, the big players score. This is a par score. The wicket is holding a bit, especially when you bowl it into the wicket. Hopefully, we will come across (as winners).

Sandeep Warrier to Aparajith, OUT, holes out to deep point! A wicket to finish the innings! Full and wide outside off. Aparajith looks to carve it over the fence and while he does get a good chunk of it, he does not get enough power or elevation to clear the fielder. Simple catch, and Aparajith walks back after a well-compiled 72 and having taken his side to 158!

Sandeep Warrier to Tanwar, no run, much shorter outside off. The change of plan works and the ball whistles off the surface, beating Tanwar's hoick comfortably. Beaten for pace, more than anything else

Warrier under the pump. CSG well past 155 already. Can they now get close to 165? That should be a very good score

6
Sandeep Warrier to Tanwar, SIX, six more, Warrier is going the distance! Friendly full toss on the pads and that is a proper buffet ball. Tanwar lines it up and smears it over deep backward square leg!

Sandeep Warrier to Aparajith, 1 run, very full on leg stump. Aparajith stays leg side of the ball and drills it towards long off

Sandeep Warrier to Aparajith, SIX, Aparajith goes big! In the slot on leg stump, and Warrier gets met. Absolutely met. Allows Aparajith to have a free swing through the line and he deposits it into the crowd over long on!

Warrier to bowl the final over. Fine leg and third man are up. Can CSG get to 155?

Bhati to Tanwar, 1 leg bye, huge appeal, not given! Yorker speared into leg stump. Tanwar has a slog across the line and misses. Gets pinned on the back leg but the ball seemed to be heading down. The umpire felt so too but the Dragons want to take another look. No bat involved but Ball Tracking, as expected, reckons the ball would have missed leg stump. Tanwar stays!

6
Bhati to Tanwar, SIX, hold the pose, Abhishek Tanwar! Slower ball that sits up to be hit outside off. Tanwar reads the variation like the morning daily, stands up tall and carves it over cover!

Right. Two overs left. Can the Super Gillies push up to 150? That could be a competitive score on a surface that has been a bit two-paced and has offered spin. Bhati to bowl

Bhati to Andre Siddarth, OUT, off stump out of the ground! Sizzling yorker, tailing back into off stump. Siddarth does not pick it and is incredibly late in bringing his bat down. Breezes under the bat and then demolishes off stump. What a delivery, and the Super Gillies are now five down!
