25.2 holes out to long-off! Finally, England hold onto one, and it's Carse who gives Rashid a deserved breakthrough. 56mph, a touch quicker and flatter, King stepped into the length and tried to launch it into the stands. A fine stand ends. 147/2
1.5 popped straight to short point, and Carse is among the wickets early! Hard length outside off and with his height, Carse has been getting the ball to rear up all over. Andrew goes feeling for this, a touch away from his body and does so with slightly hard hands. The ball loops up off near the splice of the bat and Jacks makes no mistake as the close-in catcher. England underway with a wicket in their second over and Andrew, who has shown promise previously, walks back for a duck! 6/1
35.3 Carty walks past one, and Jacks breaks this threatening-looking stand! Speared in on a length outside off, perhaps after pre-empting or maybe even seeing the batter charge. Carty has to make a hurried adjustment but cannot do so in time. Looks to work it away but with the ball straightening after pitching, he really had no hope of a connection. Buttler does the rest and Carty walks off to a warm applause from those at the ground in Cardiff. A top, top knock by a top player, and he has set WI up nicely for a big total today! 205/3
47.4 right off the toe-end, and West Indies have been bundled out with fourteen balls remaining in the innings! Mahmood plays the double-bluff and spears this in full and wide. Hope, as a reflex action, throws his bat at it, trying to manufacture something. But because his body shape is all wrong and moving to the leg side, he only pops it up tamely for Brook to collect in that region in the ring behind the umpire. Not the cleanest fielding effort England will ever produce, but they have done well to bowl WI out inside 48 overs! 308/10
36.6 massive lbw shout, and the finger goes up! Rashid has his man! Floated up beautifully on a full length just outside off. Drifts away just a touch and that draws Hetmyer outside the line. The ball rips back in to go past the inside edge and pin him on the front pad, and the umpire's decision was rather prompt. Hetmyer, though, wants to have another look. Nothing on UltraEdge, and Ball Tracking returns with three reds, with the ball crashing into the top of middle stump. Hetmyer has to go, and he takes a review along with him! 212/4
43.3 holes out to long off! Bethell has his first, and England keep chipping away! Entices Greaves into the big shot, and he cannot resist that temptation. Looks to go downtown to this full ball on the stumps but slices across it a little too much. Slightly into the wind too and Duckett, who was guilty of spurning chances earlier in the day, does the rest, low to his right. Greaves departs after a cameo, and WI are now five down! 258/5
44.2 goes straight up, and snared superbly by the skipper! This is dug in again, but this is much wider outside off. Forde takes a couple of steps across, trying to channel his inner Novak Djokovic and forehand it over mid off. Splices it completely, though, and that brings Brooks into play. He back-pedals, keeps his eyes on the ball all the way and then snaffles it up over his head with pristine technique. Excellent from the England captain, and equally brilliant by Mahmood! 268/6
44.3 nicked and gone! Mahmood on a hat-trick out of nowhere, and this West Indies innings is flagging now! Back of a length outside off and Chase, perhaps expecting the short ball, gets himself caught on the crease. Keeps a little low too and all he manages is a snick off the bottom edge as he goes fishing at it. Smart take by Buttler low to his right, and England have WI seven down with more than five overs to play! 268/7
46.3 in the air again and this time, Root makes no mistake! Rashid, bravely, tosses it up again and deceives the batter in the flight. Motie looks to smoke this into the river but loses his shape entirely. Slices it a mile up and Root, stationed at long off, completes the catch. The lack of emotion suggests he is still miffed at what happened the previous ball, but that is, nevertheless, another wicket for Rashid and England! 294/8

46.6 timmmbbberrrrr, and that will be that for Joseph with the bat today! Much flatter and shorter on middle and leg. Pitches and skids on, and that does it for Joseph. He was looking to swipe it over cow corner but having been done in for pace, he could not prevent the ball from rattling into his stumps. Joseph walks back, and WI are nine down now! 304/9

0.4 length ball outside off, hard-handed drive from Smith! Jubilation for West Indies! Perfect line and length, hint of nibble away, good pace and carry off the deck, Hope snaffles the snick and now we have a contest! 1/1
1.3 width outside off, hacked off the toe to deep third! What a ghastly shot to cap a ghastly start for England! It's how Duckett rolls, of course, but that was swinging away from an already wide line, he never caught up with it, and this chase is officially in the soup! 2/2

11.4 bouncer to Brook, and he can't keep it down! That's brilliant bowling, on an off-stump line, inducing the pull, but the ball gets big on him before his shot is complete. Ends up swatting it up off his eyebrows for a looping catch to backward square! It was a blazing knock, but it's over too soon for England... 87/3
13.4 hits the deck with venom, Buttler plays on! Huge, huge moment for this match! Tight initial line, extra bounce and movement back into the body. Buttler was never comfortable facing real heat early in his stay, and he goes via what looks like a nasty deflection off the elbow! An eight-ball duck and Joseph is producing a matchwrecking spell! 93/4
23.4 plumb with a capital P, and Bethell has to go back for an early shower! Slanted in full on middle and off. Bethell falls over while trying to access the leg side and in the end, plays all around a straight ball. Chase goes up in appeal instantly, and the umpire's finger goes up too. Bethell has reviewed, but this could be more in hope than anything else. No bat involved, and three reds on Ball Tracking, with the ball thundering into middle and leg stump. Bethell is outta here, and so is an England review! 133/5
43.5 thuds the pads on the full length, it's a cutter, nipping back in, and up goes the finger! Has Joseph prised the opening? England review. Doesn't look like an inside-edge, but it is rising sharply, on a leg-sided-ish line... clipping the top of the leg bail! Less plumb than the Root reprieve earlier maybe, but sufficiently out for West Indies' purposes! 276/6
45.3 superb riposte! Brutal line from Joseph, short, aggressive, into the body, demanding a self-defensive swing across the line, the top-edge could have gone anywhere, but it plops into the hands of short backward square. Four for Joseph, and three balls from creating real jeopardy for England! 288/7
