Commentator: Rashad Mahbub

So that wraps up today's match action. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Thank you for tuning in. See you all for the T20I series, which begins on February 22nd. Until then, take care. This is Rashad, signing off on behalf of Ekanth, Thilak, Raghav, and the rest of the ESPNcricinfo crew. Goodbye.

Zimbabwe Captain Craig Ervine: "Everybody's ecstatic! I think a lot of credit to all the guys for the month of hard work. They've put in over not only the last week or so, but I think the last few months. (Bowling department) I thought, obviously, winning the toss was key today. And again, those early morning conditions you still have to utilize you still got a bowl well and I thought Bless (Muzarabani) and Richie (Ngarava) did exceptionally well there and then Trev (Gwandu) to follow that opening spot up. I thought he was key. (Ben Curran and Brian Bennett) Certainly, I think it just shows you know when you do get that initial platform up at the top. It allows other guys to come in and play nice and fully like myself Raza and Wes (Madhevere), and the guys through the middle order. So, it's exciting to see the consistency, especially over this series. I mean, a lot of credit to Benny and Ben. I think they've worked extremely hard, and begun to obviously stick to the processes. So it's not just nice to see the reward for that. (Batting unit) I think we've spoken a lot at length about once you get in, make it count. And I think Benny's Hundred in the first game. Then again, getting a good start today, carrying on. So, it's nice to see, turning those little scores into big scores, which are match-winning scores at the end of the day. The composure from the guys, especially coming into today. Knowing that in the past, we've obviously won the first one and then lost the next two. So, I think the composure and calmness throughout today was outstanding for my boys."

Ireland Captain Paul Stirling: "I think if I isolated both Innings, we were pretty happy coming out halfway. I think we could have probably got 20, possibly 30 extra runs, but to be honest, 320 wouldn't have been enough there in the second inning. So we'll probably review that and split the innings into two and see if we can dissect it. (20-30 runs short) That's a tough one. I think we always talk about maybe getting through the big lads at the top. I think we did that well, but then you try and cash in at the back end. It's hard to get going. We never really got past the seven runs in over, but again, I was pretty pleased coming in halfway, I thought we had a chance of it if. Everything was equal and stayed the same but fair play to Zimbabwe. They deserved that and knocked it off really well. (Bowling unit, Ngarava and Muzarabani) They were excellent. They're 100 % every time we come here. We knew how tough the challenge is, and it's particularly for us too. The batters who are at the top, so they always come good, and it's always a great series. It's the fair result today. I think there's plenty of time for sightseeing after the series, so we'll have a couple of days rest up. We've got a freshener in the squad, and a few new faces, and again, we look forward to another challenging series."

Player of the Series Brian Bennett: "I mean, obviously. It's nice to be a couple of times (winning the award) for us. I'm just doing my best and doing one for the team. (Starting the innings with the bat) Oh yes, obviously. I like batting up at the top with the new ball, with the field restrictions as well. I think it makes it a bit easier, so that's just where I prefer batting at the moment. (What are the lessons that you've learned?) Just mainly bat and bowl, staying there for a long period. I think it gets easier the more balls you face, that's just the main thing. (T20I series) Yes, definitely, looking forward to that."

Player of the Match Ben Curran: "Thanks, Tino. Unbelievable feeling, and also to get the series win is a big thing for us! Just happy to contribute. To be honest, I wouldn't say there's too much of a difference. I think in the first two games, I didn't face many balls in the Power Play, and hit a couple fielders so it didn't quite necessarily go my way, but running smoothly as I would have liked. Luckily, today, I hit the gaps a couple over for twos then yeah, all good. (Pitch) I think they're pretty similar, to be honest. It definitely got better to bat in the afternoon today, but stop you early on. Definitely easier to bat this afternoon and nice to get the win. (Fourth quickest century for Zimbabwe) Yeah, I'll take it (laughter). Again. Unbelievably a good feeling and very proud to be here representing Zimbabwe."

5:00 pm Zimbabwe defeated Ireland in a bilateral series after ten years. The home team controlled the match with the bat and secured the series, 2-1, with a dominating victory. It all started with the opening batters, Ben Curran and Brian Bennett, who began strongly and aggressively, hitting boundaries and comfortably rotating the strike. They scored 77 runs on the Power Play, their joint-highest total, and had a 124-run opening partnership. Bennett was unfortunate to lose his wicket after being trapped by Hume in front of the stumps for 48 runs. But today was all about Ben Curran, who revealed himself to the world in his own unique way. He played a superb innings from the first ball, hitting 14 fours all over the ground, leading the team's batting unit, and absorbing all of the pressure with his aggressive batting performance. He was also the first member of the Curran family to score a century in international cricket, going unbeaten for 118 runs until the end. What a proud day for him and his family! Craig Ervine, the captain, came to bat at number three, scored 69 runs off 59 balls, and swept to victory with another outstanding effort. Despite a rain break in the middle of the second innings, Ben Curran stole the show today. Hume picked up the sole wicket for Ireland. The post-match presentation will begin shortly.

ArjunV: "Imagine how good this Zimbabwe team could be with Sam Curran in the line up. Not sure if Tom would get a certain entry looking at how good Muzarabani and Ngarava have been recently. "

SachinVehale: "Do mention my name to Ben as I predicted him to be First Curran to have International Ton , not many commentry lines back !!" SachinVehale, you had a good guess.

Mark: "Ben has highest ODI score and best average amongst the brothers for the moment! Well done, enjoy the bragging rights LOL"

GC: "This is the top order Zimbabwe was looking for for many years. Add Nich Welch and Antum Naqvi to the side with Sean Williams returning, then you have a stronger batting unit. "
