So an ODI from the late 1990s. A slow, turning pitch, where chasing even 255 proves challenging. The batters found it difficult all along, and eventually, New Zealand's 254 proved more than enough. Sodhi had a memorable day, leaving the hosts with some work to do ahead of the final ODI. This was it from us tonight, and thanks for your company! This is Himanshu signing off one behalf of Ekanth, Raghav and Harshith.

Lockie Ferguson, the winning captain: "Excellent win by the boys. The way Henry and Blundell batted today took off the pressure. The way Ish bowled today was exceptional. Nice to see after all the hard work he has done. Nice to see Ish get the runs, and Kyle as well. Nice team performance."

Ish Sodhi is the Player of the Match for his 6 for 39, and 35 runs: "Really good day. Coming on the winning side... historically, we haven't done too well. Nice of Litton for calling me back. We thought it would start turning later in the day. Even Ravindra and McConchie got it to spin later. Not everyday is like that. This is really a tough place to come and win."

Litton Das after the loss: "Their lower order did really well. The wicket was not bad to bat on. Probably [we were] not up to the mark in batting. Our two senior guys played really well [with the bat]. Somebody has to get an 80 or 90 or 100."

Time for the presentations

9.24pm Sodhi leads the New Zealand side back after hitting Bangladesh for a six with the ball, and 35 with the bat. On his way to 6 for 39, he became the first New Zealand spinner to a six-for in ODIs; but unfortunately, the match could well be remembered for him being called back by Litton and co after Hasan ran him out backing up at the non-striker's end. Bangladesh collapsed from 60 for 1 to 92 for 5, only to never recover in the chase. But Mahmudullah and Tamim's contributions ahead of the World Cup could yet please them. Hang around for the presentations.

Ferguson to Khaled Ahmed, OUT, the off stump trembles! On the shorter side of a length on off, as Khaled looked to pull early with his front leg out of the way. There was far too much pace on it for his liking, and that was it to give New Zealand a 1-0 lead in the series

Jamieson to Nasum Ahmed, OUT, taken by long-on! Nasum's fun ends. Jamieson bowled on the fuller side of a length while angling it in, and lofted this back down the ground. There wasn't much timing on that one, and it landed right into Boult's lap
