Himanshu: "What an innings by Richa! "
8:42pm An INCREDIBLE team innings. India have amassed 217, which is comfortably their best in women's T20Is, comfortably eclipsing the 201 they managed against UAE earlier this year. Mandhana was front and centre during the first two-thirds of the innings, smashing the bowlers to all parts and making batting look ridicoulsly easy. Rodrigues was not shabby either, and Bist also gave an excellent account of herself.
The final third of the innings, however, was owned by Ghosh. She blitzed an 18-ball fifty (yes, you read that right), and found the fence with unnerving ease. When she was on it, the crowd were dancing and enjoying themselves, even as the shoulders of the West Indian players began to drop. They now have a huge task on their hands and on the back of an inconsistent bowling display, they will need to pick themselves up rather drastically. Join us in a bit for the second innings!
