5:45pm A pretty accomplished effort, especially after what happened on Wednesday. Shanto, who was vocal in wanting batters to capitalize once they got set, showed the way, top-scoring with 76. The others then chipped in with cameos, although Jaker's might qualify as the most important, giving Bangladesh the impetus and the momentum they needed to cross 250.
Afghanistan might be a little displeased with how the last few overs went. They had reduced Bangladesh to 184-6 and seemed favourites to be chasing a sub-230 score. However, their death-bowling, compounded by Farooqi having an off-day, let them down. Prior to that, their spin troika of Ghazanfar, Kharote and Rashid was superb. Rashid and Ghazanfar bagged two, with Kharote accounting for three batters.
Given what happened on Wednesday in Bangladesh's run-chase, this does not seem an easy target but Afghanistan, having played on these pitches previously, will feel they can give it a good go. Himanshu will be back for the chase.
Rashid Khan: I bowled where I wanted. I wanted to bowl more wicket to wicket. Would have been great to pick up a few more wickets. (On bowling from around the wicket) That is something I have been working on in the last 1.5-2 years. It creates a bit of doubt in the batter's mind and that is the idea behind it. (On their batting approach) Just about making sure you play the right brand of cricket, rather than targeting a specific bowler. It is about how you play and take it deep. It is not very hard to face the spinner, it is still a good wicket to bat on. You have to choose the right ball to look for boundaries and singles. The more we play with the straight bat, the more we might get the right results.
Can Bangladesh get up to 250?
Farooqi to bowl the last over. Can he come back after his previous 18-run over?

The physio is out to check on Jaker and the mandatory concussion check is underway. Looks like he will be able to continue and that is a great sign
Omarzai to bowl the penultimate over
