Pressure when you come in to make an impact, but stayed in the present and was on when I needed to be on. It's healthy, seeing the development of the counties and the competition for places."
The Player of the Series is Amy Jones, after her two centuries. "Exceeded my expectations, a lot of fun batting at the top, and getting the win today. I knew opening was an option but not set in stone. Good opportunity with the Blaze and batting with Tammy. Her strengths are recognising the situation, good at reining it in, and getting through tricky patches. The biggest thing is the tempo of an innings. At the top, it ebbs and flows, you have to ride the waves. But taking one ball at a time helps me in all matches. India will be a great challenge with some of the best bowlers in the world."
Shermaine Campbelle: "Have to keep switching on, and executing better. We have to spend some time at the crease, Alliyah put on a showcase, credit to her for her innings. A lot of young girls stepping up and making improvements. A work in progress."
Nat Sciver-Brunt: "It has rained a few times in Taunton... a great way to finish the series. We wanted to have a bit more opportunity in the middle, but bowling first and the rain didn't help that. But looking at different combinations... trying things out. We have to gather information or we won't be able to explore nearer to the World Cup. It's a pleasing thing to see that everyone given an opportunity has put their hand up. Some girls have a few days off, then some domestic cricket. We'll be raring to go come India."
6.33pm Well, that didn't seem entirely probable at 3pm. But the horrific weather hurried on through, and so did England. A 106-run DLS-adjusted target barely detained them, as Dunkley set the tempo before NSB roared through the back end. West Indies put up a fight in adversity with the bat, recovering from a grim 4 for 3 through Qiana Joseph's 34 and some lusty blows from the tail. But that was nothing compared to the overdrive that England went into in clattering to victory at more than 10 an over. India are next up, and they'll be a stiffer challenge. But West Indies, remember, are the side that started the rot in that famous win at the T20 World Cup, and so this win in the first assignment for the new NSB-Edwards captain-coach combo is not to be sniffed at.
