Farooqi and Ghazanfar were sensational in the first powerplay and South Africa hardly found a way back from there on. The top order was tentative and Afghanistan fully capitalised. Only Mulder offered any resistance with two thirty-plus partnerships lower down the order. He paced his knock well on the way to his first ODI fifty, and that meant South Africa crossed the 100-run mark. Nothing really suggests Afghanistan should falter in this chase but South Africa's bowling attack has a few experienced heads, so expect them to not give this away easily.
