Kansas State's head coach and quarterback enjoy a huge Pop-Tart after winning the inaugural Pop-Tarts Bowl. (0:45)

The Pop-Tarts Bowl is upping the ante for their next edition after last season's live mascot captured the hearts of the collective college football internet.

First, they tripled down on the live mascot action, announcing that three flavored Pop-Tarts will attend this month's game. Now, they've unveiled what could be the most technologically advanced trophy in sports.

This year's Pop-Tarts Bowl winner will hoist a trophy that doubles as a fully functional toaster.

The concept isn't new. Last year's trophy also featured a silver football with two metallic slots to insert Pop-Tarts. But those slots were for show.

But now, thanks to a partnership with GE Appliances, the bowl's champion will be able to toast a post-win snack.

The No. 18 Iowa State Cyclones and No. 13 Miami Hurricanes will play for the right to hoist the toaster trophy on December 28 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
