          As nonconference play starts to wrap up in college football, social media teams got in their final jabs before the heart of the season truly begins.

          The LSU Tigers started Saturday's slate with a thrilling road victory, coming back in the second half to outlast the South Carolina Gamecocks and overcome the hype fueled in Columbia by "College GameDay." The Gamecocks had a chance to send the contest to overtime, but a last-gasp field goal attempt was pushed wide.

          The Tigers (2-1, 1-0 in SEC play) have a three-game stretch of home games coming up. Before leaving Williams Brice Stadium, though, LSU made sure to deliver its own rendition of South Carolina's staple song, "Sandstorm."

          The locker room party leads other top social media trolls from college football Week 3.

          Memphis 20, Florida State 12

          The Florida State Seminoles' nightmare start didn't get any better against the Memphis Tigers. The Tigers' defense forced a trio of turnovers as Memphis amassed a 20-3 lead midway through the third quarter.

          Florida State scored the game's final nine points, but it wasn't enough. The loss marked the first time the Seminoles had been held without multiple touchdowns in back-to-back home games since 2005, according to ESPN Research.

          The visiting Tigers took a jab at Doak Campbell Stadium's staple tradition of fans doing the chop motion.

          Washington State 24, Washington 19

          The first cross-conference Apple Cup didn't disappoint.

          The Washington State Cougars, one of the final two members of the newly rejuvenated Pac-12 (Pac-6 now), moved to 3-0 on the year with a win that was a little sweeter than most. John Mateer threw for one touchdown and rushed for two more to lead Wazzu to a home victory over its newly minted Big Ten rival. The Washington Huskies had a chance to win the game on a fourth-and-goal situation from the Washington State one-yard line with a minute left, but the Cougar defense held their ground.

          After the game, Washington State mocked its in-state rival's new conference affiliation, posting a graphic that superimposed the Cougar logo all over the Big Ten's iconic map commercial.

          Duke Blue Devils 26, UConn Huskies 21

          The Huskies stormed ahead of the Blue Devils in the third quarter with a rushing touchdown by Cam Edwards and a receiving score by Alexander Honig. It looked for a second like the Huskies' upset bid in Durham was going to succeed.

          Duke took care of business in the fourth, however, holding UConn scoreless and moving ahead on a Todd Pelino field goal and a score by Que'Sean Brown. The Blue Devils posted a sad version of the Huskies' logo after the game.

          Colorado Buffaloes 28, Colorado State Rams 9

          The Buffaloes took care of business against their in-state rivals, primarily behind Shedeur Sanders' 310 yards and four touchdowns. After the game, they reminded the Rams where they are in the Colorado pecking order.
