Signing day is next Wednesday, and there are 41 ESPN 300 prospects still unsigned. Some are committed to schools, but for whatever reason did not sign in the December signing period. Others are unsigned and uncommitted.
Here is a look at a few of the unsigned prospects, and where they might end up inking their name on Wednesday.
ATH Kaiir Elam
6-foot-1, 182 pounds
North Palm Beach Florida/The Benjamin School
ESPN 300 rank: 59
Prediction: Georgia
Others in the mix: Colorado, Florida and Miami
Elam has Colorado, Florida, Georgia and Miami on his list of favorites, and has most recently visited Colorado and Georgia. The Dawgs built some sort of driving range in the stadium on his visit and let Elam hit golf balls onto the field. Then in a completely different experience, he stood on the snow-covered field at Colorado with the mountains in the background.

Elam's golf swing needs work, but he has been targeted heavily by all four schools on his top list because of what he can do on the field in pads.
Georgia has seemingly made a push for the No. 59-ranked prospect and has been battling with Florida and the other two schools to get his signature.
OL Doug Nester
6-foot-7, 320 pounds
Huntington, West Virginia/Spring Valley
ESPN 300 rank: 72
Prediction: Ohio State
Others in the mix: Penn State, Virginia Tech
Nester has been committed to Ohio State since August 2017, but when news broke that Urban Meyer was retiring, Nester started looking around and has entertained a few other schools.
He has visited Ohio State and Penn State and is planning to visit Virginia Tech as well.
The Hokies' visit could get them more in the mix, but as for now it seems his decision will be Ohio State or Penn State. Nester is quiet about his recruitment, so not much is really known about what he's thinking or planning on doing.
New Ohio State coach Ryan Day kept Kevin Wilson and offensive line coach Greg Studrawa from the previous staff, which means even without Meyer, Nester still has a lot of familiarity with this offensive staff. We're estimating he sticks with the Buckeyes, but Penn State is in the discussion.
DB Nick Cross
6-foot-1, 208 pounds
Hyattsville, Maryland/DeMatha Catholic
ESPN 300 rank: 126
Prediction: Penn State
Others in the mix: Florida State, Maryland and Georgia
Cross has been committed to Florida State since September 2018, but he is one of five unsigned commits in this 2019 class.
A few of those recruits reaffirmed publicly their commitment to the Seminoles, including defensive backs Akeem Dent, Travis Jay and Brendan Gant, but Cross has entertained Florida State, Maryland, Penn State and recently Georgia. He has taken a visit to Maryland and is headed to Georgia and Penn State before signing day. The fact that the other defensive backs in the class have shut things down and Cross hasn't tells us he is seriously considering other schools.
He could end up sticking with the Seminoles, but the Nittany Lions are pushing hard. In Happy Valley, he could see early playing time at a school closer to home than Florida State.
DE Khris Bogle
6-foot-4, 207 pounds
Fort Lauderdale, Florida/Cardinal Gibbons
ESPN 300 rank: 155
Prediction: Miami
Others in the mix: Alabama, Florida
Bogle committed to Alabama in January, but since then the Crimson Tide have had a mass exodus of assistant coaches. That included defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi and other shakeups that impacted Bogle.
Miami was a school high on his list before he chose Alabama, and now the Hurricanes have an opportunity to try to get the lanky defensive end in its class. There is more stability there now that former defensive coordinator Manny Diaz has returned as head coach and seemingly re-energized the program.
OL Enokk Vimahi
6-foot-5, 286 pounds
Kahuku, Hawaii/Kahuku
ESPN 300 rank: 204
Prediction: USC
Others in the mix: Oklahoma and Ohio State
Vimahi's top list is Ohio State, Oklahoma and USC, and he has visited all three schools within the past two months. USC had him on campus in December and Oklahoma and Ohio State saw him in January for official visits.
Ohio State had the last visit, and sometimes the last impression is the biggest one. Vimahi said he still isn't completely sure where he is going to end up, so this prediction could change. USC is the pick for now, but Ohio State has made a big impression on the offensive lineman.
The Trojans recently hired Graham Harrell as offensive coordinator, bringing some stability to their situation, but the Buckeyes have had stability this whole time. He is deciding on signing day, so this could change between now and then.
