LSU punter Brad Wing has been suspended for the Chick-fil-A Bowl against Clemson for violating team rules, the school announced Thursday.
Wing will be replaced by freshman Jamie Keehn when the Tigers face Clemson on Dec. 31 (ESPN, 7:30 p.m. ET) in Atlanta.
Wing averaged 44.8 yards per punt this season, the fourth-best mark in the SEC. Last season, Wing earned Associated Press All-America honors, averaging 44.4 yards per punt, including 27 punts downed inside the opponents' 20.
Wing did not play in the season opener against North Texas for what LSU coach Les Miles said was a hamstring injury. In that game, Keehn punted three times for a 41-yard average.
Wing, a redshirt sophomore, is eligible for the 2013 NFL draft.
