We're back to just one Monday night game in Week 7. And it's an intriguing matchup, with the 5-1 Chicago Bears visiting the 4-2 Los Angeles Rams (8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN).
ESPN betting experts Anita Marks and Tyler Fulghum, ESPN analytics expert Seth Walder and Football Outsiders' Aaron Schatz have teamed up to offer their best bets.
Odds courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook by William Hill as of Sunday.
Chicago Bears at Los Angeles Rams (-6, 44.5)
Bears +6; under 44.5; Nick Foles under 245.5 passing yards; Foles longest completion under 36.5 yards; Jared Goff under 33.5 passing attempts
Fulghum: This one is destined to be a low-scoring slugfest. Both the Rams and Bears are well-equipped to pressure opposing quarterbacks. Both Goff and Foles are susceptible to pressure, so Rams coach Sean McVay and Bears coach Matt Nagy should be looking to run the ball. The past two times these teams have faced each other, they've combined to score 24 and 21 points. That trend is likely to continue Monday night.
Bears +6; Bears money line (+220)
Marks: The Bears' defense will keep them in this game. Goff's two previous starts against Chicago have not gone well -- less than 50% completion percentage, zero touchdowns, five interceptions. The Rams are 4-2 but have beaten up on the NFC East, which is a combined 7-20-1.
Goff over 0.5 interceptions
Schatz: Chicago is second in pass defense DVOA this year. Goff has thrown four picks in six games; the Chicago defense has five picks in six games. Football Outsiders' projection is 0.82 interceptions.
Cooper Kupp longest reception under 22.5 yards
Walder: Out of the 92 wide receivers who had run 90 routes or more entering Sunday, only one -- Adam Humphries -- had run a lower percentage of vertical routes than Kupp. Instead, Kupp runs far more outside short and crossing routes than most receivers. Those routes are less likely to turn into conversions on this prop. While 3% of vertical routes run by wide receivers (targeted or not) have resulted in a gain of 23 or more yards this season, just 1% of crossing routes and far less than 1% of outside short routes have.
Kupp under 59.5 receiving yards
Marks: With the combination of Goff's difficult matchup and Robert Woods' volume, the under is the right play for Kupp this week. The Bears have allowed only one touchdown to opposing wide receivers, and have not allowed a wideout more than five catches in a game.
