Below are the Cleveland Cavaliers' and Golden State Warriors' chances to win the NBA title, according to ESPN's Basketball Power Index.
The bottom two graphics show the BPI chances for the Warriors (shown first) and the Cavaliers for every potential series scenario.
For example, if the Warriors win Game 3, BPI projects Golden State will have a 98 percent chance of winning the series. If the Cavaliers win Game 2, BPI projects Cleveland will have a 15 percent chance of winning the series.
ESPN's NBA Basketball Power Index (BPI) is a forward-looking measure of team quality. It uses advanced statistical analysis to measure each team's offensive and defensive levels relative to an average team. There are a number of factors BPI takes into account, such as strength of opponent, pace, game location and rest. We explain in detail here.
