Antrel Rolle has payback in mind for this Sunday night against Dallas.
In his weekly spot with WFAN radio, Rolle said the Giants are highly motivated to avenge their season-opening loss to the Cowboys.
"We are going to go in and we are going to play ball," Rolle said. "We owe those guys. In that first game of the season, I don’t think we were playing Giants football at all. And we have gotten back to somewhat playing Giants football and get this winning streak going a little bit."
"We didn’t like going out there and losing that game, our first game at home, Wednesday night game, all the bright lights were put on us and they came in here and whupped our butts fair and square," Rolle added. "They were definitely the better team that night and we will show them who is the better team come Sunday night."
Of course, Jerry Jones told Dallas fans back in late July that they need to come to his beautiful palace to "watch us beat the New York Giants' ass."
"As far as Jerry Jones’ comment, we really don’t pay that any attention," Rolle said. "We all know that he doesn’t put on a helmet. I don’t know if he ever did to be honest with you. We are going to go out there and play our game and play very confident and we are going out there ready to be some head busters and that is about it."
Of course, Jones did play football at Arkansas, before Rolle was born.
Rolle was also asked if the Giants are the best team in football.
"I can't say that we are the best team in football right now," Rolle answered. "For one, our record doesn’t show that and two, we have been playing good football. I wouldn’t say we have been playing great football. I don’t think we have been playing to the caliber I know we can play as a complete unit.
"At this point in time, I think we are right where we need to be and trying to get better," he added. "As far as putting that title as far as being the best team in football, no one will be able to do that until February."
