Washington is beginning to make some noise in the regional rankings, with Kentwood among the ranked squads and another three checking in as bubble teams. The Conqs moved up two spots to No. 6 in the West Region and remain No. 1 locally. Lake Stevens fell out of the rankings after suffering its first loss of the spring but joins Olympia and Puyallup as bubble teams. A strong run by either of those three could earn them a spot in the POWERADE FAB 50 alongside No. 27 Kentwood.
Mount Vernon and Hanford make their season debuts this week. Boasting an unblemished record, Mount Vernon is a candidate to join the top 5 should any of those teams stumble.
Here's a look at the top of the rankings:
1. Kentwood (14-0) — last week No. 1
2. Olympia (13-0) — last week No. 5
3. Seattle Prep (14-0) — last week No. 6
