When Justin Anderson's desperation heave clanked off the rim, it signaled the end of Montrose Christian's NHSI title defense as well as the conclusion of the hoops season in Greater D.C. The loss dropped the Mustangs out of the top spot and cemented Paul VI as the top local squad. Greater D.C. finished with four squads ranked in the final POWERADE FAB 50, led by the Panthers, who check in at No. 12. DeMatha was No. 13, Montrose No. 14 and Gonzaga No. 46.
