As MIAA teams get deeper and deeper into the postseason, a pair of non-MIAA schools have already clinched impressive championships. No. 1 St. Mark's won the NEPSAC AA title, while Northfield-Mt. Hermon claimed the NEPSAC AAA crown.
The win keeps St. Mark's locked into the No. 1 spot, while NMH's takedown of Brewster Academy (N.H.) in the AAA final helps the Hoggers jump from No. 7 to No. 4 in this week's POWERADE state rankings.
In MIAA tourney action, No. 2 Springfield Central still looks like the favorite to come out of WMass, while No. 3 Charlestown and No. 5 Central Catholic are on a collision course in the Division 1 North bracket.
