A team-by-team look at the 2016 recruiting classes in the ACC:

FSU closed strong and filled needs, particularly up front with a great offensive line class. No. 5 OT Landon Dickerson was a big pickup on signing day. Five-star and No. 1-ranked cornerback Levonta Taylor and No. 2-ranked dual-threat quarterback Malik Henry are on board as well. They closed with CB Carlos Becker (No. 46 in ESPN 300) and ILB Dontavious Jackson (No. 123). ESPN 300 defensive end Brian Burns is a disruptive presence up front and was a good in-state get. ESPN 300 Baveon Johnson may not receive the national attention of others, being a center, but he is a difference-maker. They are joined by ESPN 300 defensive end Janarius Robinson, defensive tackle Cedric Wood and linebacker Keion Joyner. Four-star outside linebacker Emmett Rice is one to watch down the line, as is ESPN 300 offensive tackle Josh Ball. ESPN 300 running back Amir Rasul is among the fastest backs in the 2016 class. Junior college defensive tackle Walvenski Aime is expected to be an impact player.

Clemson is becoming a fixture in the top 10 under Dabo Swinney, and five-star defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence means the Tigers are yet again a national player. No. 2 corner Trayvon Mullen was a huge score on signing day as he could replace CB Mackensie Alexander, who is departing early for the draft. ESPN 300 running back Tavien Feaster got the ball rolling with a commitment on national signing day 2015, and has since been joined by ESPN 300 quarterback Zerrick Cooper. ESPN 300 receiver Diondre Overton was a big win Jan. 3, while four-star Tavares Chase is yet another talented receiver from the Tampa area. The team added size and speed on defense late in the summer with Under Armour All-America Game inside linebacker Tre' Lamar and ESPN 300 end Xavier Kelly, who were joined by ESPN 300 outside linebacker Rahshaun Smith.

The Hurricanes surged after the hire of coach Mark Richt. They landed ESPN 300 DE Patrick Bethel on Dec. 14. He is joined in the class by quarterback Jack Allison, playmaker Sam Bruce and fellow speedster Dionte Mullins. WR Ahmmon Richards (No. 212 in ESPN 300) was a great addition on signing day. Adding another ESPN 300 prospect, Travis Homer and his 4.48 speed, on May 31 was a big win at running back. The Hurricanes' class at receiver and linebacker is especially impressive, including LBs Shaquille Quarterman and Zachary McCloud. Three-star defensive tackle prospect Tre Johnson has considerable upside.

The Blue Devils continue to recruit at a high level under coach David Cutcliffe. The 2016 class features four-stars from Virginia, wideout Scott Bracey and tight end Mark Birmingham. The Peach State is huge for the Blue Devils, and the list in 2016 includes ESPN 300s Chidi Okonya, Dylan Singleton and offensive tackle Robert Kraeling, as well as four-star running back Brittain Brown. Outside linebacker Brandon Hill out of the Palmetto State is another important recruit from the region. Four-star offensive guard Jaylen Miller was a nice grab out of the Sunshine State.

The Panthers quietly built an impressive class, led by ESPN 300s Damar Hamlin and running back George Hill, as well as a second talented back in Kaezon Pugh. DT Keyshon Camp (No. 147 in ESPN 300) was a score on signing day. Three-star quarterback signee Thomas MacVittie has a big target coming in with 6-foot-4 Ruben Flowers. The defensive line class is impressive as well with Amir Watts and Zack Gilbert. Defensive back is a position of need, and the Pitt staff delivered with Henry Miller out of Florida and in-state three-star Therran Coleman.

ESPN 300 quarterback Logan Byrd and defensive end Tomon Fox headline the Tar Heels' class, which also includes one of the most athletic linemen in the 2016 class in Jay Jay McCargo. Four-star athlete Chazz Surratt flipped from Duke and could end up on either side of the ball, while four-star corner Patrice Rene flipped from Rutgers and is expected to make an instant impact. The state of Georgia has been kind to Larry Fedora and staff with Byrd, Fox and guard Luke Elder. McCargo, Elder and Tyler Pritchett give the Tar Heels three talented offensive linemen. Four-star tackle Kyree Campbell was a key grab on the defensive interior, as was tight end and Georgia flip Garrett Walston.

The Cardinals are on the offensive attack in 2016. Bobby Petrino has a raw but talented ESPN 300 quarterback on board with Jawon Pass. Louisville also has a pair of four-star receivers in the fold in Chris Taylor-Yamanoha and Seth Dawkins. A third pass-catcher in the class is Desmond Fitzpatrick. On defense, four-star linebacker P.J. Blue was a key flip from South Carolina in December. July defensive end commit Michael Boykin might have the highest upside in the class. Junior college corner Ronald Walker and defensive tackle Chris Williams are expected to make an instant impact.

New Hokies head coach Justin Fuente hit the trail sprinting, quickly getting three-star athlete Phillip Patterson back into the fold. Patterson rejoins a class headlined by ESPN 300 quarterback Joshua Jackson and a trio of four-star receivers led by ESPN 300 Divine Deablo. Three-star running back Reggie Floyd was a key in-state win. On defense, four-star cornerback Khalil Ladler was a nice grab out of IMG Academy, while three-star defensive end Jimmie Taylor out of North Carolina has nice upside. Offensive line is a key position of need with tackles Patrick Kearns and Thomas Jarrett Hopple set to provide future depth.

The Wolfpack added a key four-star in late January -- tight end Thaddeus Moss, the son of former NFL star Randy Moss. Three-star quarterback Dylan Parham is already on campus, and is a gamer. Three-star safety Isaiah Stallings is a good bet to play early, as is defensive tackle Shug Frazier. Three-star Harrison Gee fills a glaring need at center. Three-star outside linebacker Brock Miller is a name to remember. Receiver Bryce Dixon is already on campus, and will push to get into the rotation early.

Five members of the Demon Deacons' class have already enrolled, including three-star quarterback Jamie Newman and versatile running back Cade Carney. Athleticism on the offensive line continues to be a major need, and three-star tackle Taleni Suhren and guard Je'vionte Nash will help in that area. Size and quickness are needs along the defensive front, and coach Dave Clawson and his staff have answered with tackle Sulaiman Kamara and end Emmanuel Walker. Specialist Dominic Maggio is an Under Armour All-American.

The Yellow Jackets again filled their needs with athletic and academic fits. The class is highlighted by ESPN 300 offensive guard/center Parker Braun, and DE Jordan Woods is a second four-star headed to Atlanta. Three-stars Xavier Gantt and Jair Anderson fill needs at safety and receiver, respectively. Three-star running back Dedrick Mills is a physical runner. Junior college defensive end Desmond Branch is expected to work his way into the rotation from Day 1, while three-star linebacker Emanuel Bridges is a name to remember down the line.

The Cavaliers signed a class of 24 three-star prospects who came from 10 different stated. Virginia filled a huge need at receiver with the addition of Joseph Reed, Hasise Dubois, Cole Blackman and Bryce Hall. The signal-caller in the class is three-star Sonny Abramson. Defensive line was another position of need, and Stephen Moye out of Georgia and in-state prospect Christian Brooks could see the field in Year 1. Athlete Deedrick Daniels could play either side of the ball.

The Orange class is headlined by three-star quarterback Rex Culpepper and upside offensive tackle Sam Heckel. Speedy three-star running backs Moe Neal and Sean Riley could move to slot receiver with the change in offensive scheme. On defense, three-star defensive end Jaquwan Nelson has a good chance to work into the rotation, as does three-star safety Devon Clarke. Three-star defenders from Florida, linebacker Kenneth Ruff and tackle McKinley Williams, will bring size and strength to the defense.

The Eagles were in need of size and playmaking skills at wide receiver, and three-stars Mike Palmer and Kobay White will help in that area. Quarterback continues to be a work in progress, and the signing of three-star Anthony Brown will provide more competition and athleticism. Defensively, three-star defensive end Bryce Morais is a pick to play from Day 1, while outside linebacker Ethan Tucky could work his way into the rotation in 2016. A trio of three-star interior prospects on the offensive line, led by Tom Kowalkoski, will also bring depth.
