Past national champions UConn and South Carolina are among the 12-team field for the inaugural Battle 4 Atlantis women's basketball tournament. The three-day event will be held from Nov. 20-22, 2021, on Paradise Island in The Bahamas. Other teams set to compete include 2021 NCAA tournament teams Oregon, South Florida and Syracuse, plus Buffalo, Minnesota and Oklahoma. The Battle 4 Atlantis men's tournament began in 2011. The women's event was scheduled to debut in 2020, but both tournaments were canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
