Coach Geno Auriemma to miss UConn's game Sunday due to illness

Coach Geno Auriemma will miss the UConn Huskies' game Sunday against the Golden Hurricane in Tulsa due to an illness.

Auriemma, who did not travel with the team, is expected to return Tuesday at Wichita State.

Associate head coach Chris Dailey will coach in his absence.

Auriemma missed three games in the 1997 Big East tournament due to a family emergency, and one regular-season and three Big East tournaments games in 1989 due to a suspension. Dailey led the team both times in his absence.
