ASHLAND, Ohio -- Undefeated and Division II champion Ashland is getting a shot at the gold standard of women's college basketball -- UConn. The Eagles went 37-0 this season to capture their second Division II crown. They will face UConn in a preseason exhibition game Nov. 5. Ashland announced the matchup Thursday, presenting a "tale of the tape" between the programs on Twitter. UConn is 36-0 and plays Mississippi State in the Final Four on Friday at Dallas. UConn has won 111 straight games and four straight Division I titles. Over the past six seasons, Ashland has won two titles, finished second and gone 181-23 in D-II. Ashland coach Robyn Fralick says UConn has "set the standard, not just in women's basketball, but athletics in general." He calls this game an "unbelievable opportunity."
