ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- The captain of the University of New Mexico women's basketball team has been arrested and accused of assaulting her boyfriend. Police say 22-year-old Ebony Walker was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault on a household member Tuesday night at her apartment. According to police, a neighbor told officers she saw Walker chase her boyfriend through the apartment complex's parking lot and throw a knife, which didn't hit the boyfriend. Police say Walker acknowledged arguing with her boyfriend but denied throwing a knife toward him. Walker is a 6-foot-2 center from Albuquerque who is a redshirt senior. The university's media relations office did not immediately respond to a request for comment, and it wasn't immediately known whether Walker has an attorney.
