The Franchise QBs: Final rankings of the top signal-callers in Patriots history

We've identified the top all-time quarterbacks for every NFL team, and asked our NFL Nation beat reporters -- and you, the fans -- to help us determine each signal-caller's place in franchise history.

What follows is the final ranking of the top quarterbacks in New England Patriots history, both from our NFL Nation reporter and our final fan polling.

NFL Nation ranking:

1. Tom Brady

2. Drew Bledsoe

3. Steve Grogan

4. Babe Parilli

5. Tony Eason

The top three (Brady, Bledsoe, Grogan) are as easy to put together as some of Brady's scoring drives. The intrigue, then, becomes who should be in the Nos. 4 and 5 spots. Eason and Parilli are probably the right choices, although if popularity was entered in the consideration, Doug Flutie and/or Scott Zolak would probably bump Eason out of there. Zolak has morphed from backup quarterback/spot starter in New England to a popular sports talk show host and Patriots radio analyst. They show him on the scoreboard at games and Gillette Stadium gets especially loud. -- Mike Reiss
