    Club Brugge 3-0 AaB

Club Brugge cruised into the last 16 of the Europa League by racking up a 6-1 aggregate victory over Aalborg. The Belgian club put one foot in the next round by hitting Kent Nielsen's men 3-1 in northern Denmark last week and they wasted no time confirming their superiority in the second leg. Victor Vazquez ensured the reigning Superliga champions had everything to do with an early opener and second-half goals from Obbi Oulare and Boli Bolingoli-Mbombo rubber-stamped a comprehensive 3-0 win on the night. Aalborg were always going to be up against it having conceded three away goals in Denmark and their chances of progressing grew even slimmer within 11 minutes of play at the Jan Breydel Stadion. The Belgians worked their way down the left side of the park before Lior Rafaelov slotted the ball across the box for Vazquez to turn home from six yards out. Brugge pushed for a quickfire second, with Ruud Vormer smashing a shot just wide, but Aalborg soon sprang into life and dominated the rest of the half. Thomas Enevoldsen was unlucky to miss the mark with an effort on the stroke of 30 minutes and Andreas Bruhn certainly gave Brugge goalkeeper Matthew Ryan food for thought with his swerving drive. The Australian got a rare feel of the ball when play resumed as Enevoldsen came knocking but Brugge soon resumed turning the screw with Oulare and Thomas Meunier both going close. In the 64th minute the former put the Belgians out of sight. Vormer provided the assist from the left that Oulare steered into the bottom corner with his right boot. Aalborg's heads dropped and it only took their hosts 10 more minutes to make it 3-0 as Vormer found more joy down the left flank to pick out Bolingoli-Mbombo for a regulation tap-in.

      AaB 1-3 Club Brugge

Club Brugge put themselves in a commanding position in the Europa League round of 32 as they won 3-1 in their first leg at AaB. The Belgian side were rarely troubled in Denmark and goals from Mamadou Oulare and Lior Rafaelov and a Kenneth Emil Petersen own goal gave them the most comfortable of cushions ahead of the return fixture. Nicklas Helenius scored a penalty to at least keep AaB interested but it will require a stunning turnaround for them to go through. Club Brugge flew out of the traps and had two fine chances inside the space of 20 seconds, with Felipe Gedoz seeing both of them. His first effort, from the edge of the box, was saved by Nicolai Larsen and then he slammed the rebound, from closer range, against the post. Andreas Bruhn had a header at the other end well blocked and then Anders K Jacobsen had a shot well saved by Matthew Ryan as the play went from end to end. The game really exploded after that, though, as Brugge rattled in two quickfire goals. Twenty-five minutes in Boli Bolingoli whipped in a cross that Oulare got above Larsen to nod in, and five minutes later the scorer turned provider as his cross was cracked in by Rafaelov, who took aim from just outside the box. Gedoz took aim in pursuit of a third but was denied, while Oscar Duarte also went close before the half-time break. The flow of play continued towards AaB's goal after the break as Oulare was stopped by Larsen, but the keeper was helpless on the hour as Petersen sliced a Thomas Meunier cross into his own goal. AaB were given slight hope when they were awarded a 72nd-minute penalty, with Helenius putting it away after Meunier had brought down Jacob Blabjerg. They could not mount more of a fightback, though, and Brugge maintained a healthy cushion.

        AaB 1-0 Steaua Bucuresti

Thomas Enevoldsen's second-half winner against Steaua Bucharest handed AaB a big boost in their bid to reach the last 32 of the Europa League on Thursday evening. The on-loan Mechelen midfielder grabbed the game's only goal with a neat volley 18 minutes from the end at Nordjyske Arena, moving the Danish side into second place in Group J - two points above their visitors - with one round of matches remaining.Steaua - knowing victory would send them through to the knockout stage - started much the brighter, with Alexandru Bourceanu curling wide from 25 yards and Claudiu Keseru seeing his left-footed attempt parried by AaB goalkeeper Nicolai Larsen within 21 minutes.Andreas Bruhn called Giedrius Arlauskis into action for the first time just after the half-hour mark, but his effort was comfortably dealt with by the Steaua goalkeeper. Cristian Tanase and Keseru lashed over soon after as the Romanian side continued to look the more likely, and Larsen made a fine double save to deny first Adrian Popa and then Keseru from close range to ensure the sides were level at the interval.Tanase had another couple of sights of goal early in the second period, with Larsen parrying the first and the second sailing over the bar. When the deadlock was broken, though, it came against the run of play at the other end. Kasper Risgard provided the cross from the right and Enevoldsen controlled the ball on his chest before unleashing a fine volley into the top-right corner of Arlauskis' net.Arlauskis had to be alert 12 minutes from time to keep the visitors only one goal down, turning away a Risgard blast.Keseru had a decent opportunity to salvage a point in the 89th minute which would have kept Steaua in the driving seat for second place in the pool, but he shot wide from six yards.ends

          Dynamo Kiev 2-0 AaB

Dynamo Kiev claimed top spot in Group J of the Europa League, beating AaB 2-0 with both goals coming after the hosts had been reduced to 10 men.In a match short on chances for both sides, Domagoj Vida's opening goal came moments after Aleksander Dragovic had seen red in the 68th minute. And although the game was not completely safe until Oleg Gusev scored a second two minutes into time added on, AaB had done little to worry them in the meantime. The result moves Dynamo top with nine points from four matches after Steaua Bucharest drew 2-2 against Rio Ave.An early flurry of activity proved a false dawn for the match. Two minutes in, Thomas Enevoldsen's shot had to be turned away at the expense of a corner, and AaB were on the attack again moments later with Olexandr Shovkovskiy able to hold Nikolai Thomsen's shot.Younes Belhanda fired wide at the other end before Henrik Dalsgaard passed up another opportunity for the visitors with 14 minutes gone. But there was hardly another sight of goal for either side until after the hour mark, when AaB goalkeeper Nicolai Larsen palmed Artem Kravets' shot wide. The game might have swung away from Dynamo in the 68th minute when Dragovic was shown a straight red for a poor challenge on Kasper Risgard, but instead the hosts almost immediately took the lead.Andriy Yarmolenko curled in an inswinging corner and Vida headed home from close range. With eight minutes left, AaB mustered their only half-chance to level, with Thomsen's shot diverted wide by Sergiy Rybalka for a corner from which the visitors failed to muster an effort on goal.Gusev than made certain of the points as he powered a shot home from the edge of the area in time added on.ends

            AaB 3-0 Dynamo Kiev

Two goals from Nikolaj Thomsen saw host AaB to a surprise 3-0 win over in-form Dynamo Kiev. The Ukrainian side had not lost in 13 matches across all competitions and won both of their previous Europa League matches in Group J prior to their humbling at Aalborg Stadion.Thomas Enevoldsen set the ball rolling in the 11th minute before Thomsen netted once in each half to secure the points for a side hardly recognisable from the one battered 6-0 by Steaua Bucharest on matchday one.AaB were quick to pour forward, Enevoldsen getting into the box and testing goalkeeper Olexandr Rybka with less than three minutes gone.Kiev returned fire as both Andriy Yarmalenko and Jeremain Lens tried their luck from range, but it was the hosts who took the lead.Enevoldsen was the scorer, producing a clinical low volley from the edge of the area after Aleksander Dragovic failed to fully clear Kasper Risgard's cross.Yarmolenko almost levelled 10 minutes later when hit the post and Nikolai Larsen made saves from Lens and Serhiy Sydorchuk as Kiev pressed hard. But the visitors were caught out again six minutes before the break, Enevoldsen and Risgard involved once before before Andreas Bruhn found the killer ball for Thomsen to tap home.Lens' battle with Larsen had one more instalment before the interval, the keeper saving an 18-yard effort.Enevoldsen continued to cause problems after break, with Yarmolenko the visitors' busiest player only to let himself down with a string of moderate finishes.Dynamo could not get on the scoresheet, though, Lukasz Teodorczyk passing up a golden chance when heading wide from a corner.Instead the last word of the night went to Thomsen, who clipped home his second after Soren Frederiksen glided down the left and drilled the ball across goal for him.ends
