TRENDING RUMORS
- Aston Villa have joined the race to sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, reports The Independent. The Premier League side are the latest team looking to land the 20-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Chelsea as well as Bayer Leverkusen and Atlético Madrid in Europe. It is believed that the Red Devils would be willing to let Garnacho leave Old Trafford if their £70 million valuation is met. The Argentina international scored 11 goals and registered nine assists last season, but was only a second-half substitute in the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last month.
- A full agreement has been reached between Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen regarding a deal for attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz, reports Fabrizio Romano. A €150 million deal, inclusive of add-ons, is said to have been agreed, with the 22-year-old now set to undergo a medical after agreeing personal terms with the Reds two weeks ago. The transfer fee for Wirtz, who is poised to join up with his former teammate in right back Jeremie Frimpong, is the highest for any Liverpool signing in history.
- Manchester City are closing in on the signing of Rosenborg wonderkid Sverre Nypan, The Athletic reports. The 18-year-old was wanted by a host of Premier League clubs, including Aston Villa, Manchester United and Chelsea. While City are not among Nypan's long-term suitors, they have accelerated their interest in recent months, and look to have won the race for his signature. Player terms are yet to be finalized, but the Norwegian is expected to immediately return to Rosenborg on loan once a deal is struck. Nypan has been capped at every youth level for Norway, and he is currently a member of the nation's under-21 squad.
- Leroy Sané is flying to Istanbul on Wednesday night to complete his free transfer to Galatasaray, Sky Sports News has revealed. The German international is set to leave Bayern Munich once his current contract expires July 1, although it remains to be seen whether he will feature for the Bundesliga champions at the FIFA Club World Cup. Recent reports indicate Bayern attempted to sign Sané to a new deal, but the 29-year-old has opted for a new challenge abroad. Sané has been at the club since 2020, helping them win four Bundesliga titles and a pair of DFL Supercups in that time.
- Liverpool's Jarell Quansah and Sevilla's Loïc Badé are on Bayer Leverkusen's center back shortlist, according to Fabrizio Romano. The young defenders are "appreciated internally" at Bayer, who are looking for a Jonathan Tah replacement after his move to Bayern Munich. Any future deal for Quansah would be completely separate from Liverpool's pursuit of Florian Wirtz. The England under-21 international has struggled for game time at Liverpool, having started just four league games last season.
