Conyers in the first round of a wild junior middleweight fight
Friday night at Chumash Casino.
Kirkland floored Conyers twice in the short fight, the last with
4 seconds left. Conyers also knocked down Kirkland once.
Kirkland, from Austin, Texas, 21-0 with 18 knockouts, 17 of them
in four rounds or less. Conyers, from New York, dropped to 11-3.
Kirkland weighed in at 152 pounds, two more than Conyers.
