LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The top two seeds in the Louisville Region -- Middle Tennessee State and the host Cardinals -- safely moved on to the winners' bracket and will meet Saturday night.
Top seed Louisville cruised past Indiana 8-2 while capitalizing on three errors and a wild pitch that led to runs. Phil Wunderlich broke it wide open with a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the ninth.
The standing-room only crowd got to see the hometown team win -- and got to listen to Kenny Chesney perform his sound-check for Saturday's concert at adjacent Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
Indiana and Vanderbilt will play in an elimination game on Saturday afternoon.
