Baugh to sit for rest of season

Tennessee junior Vicki Baugh will sit out the rest of this season, the school announced on Friday.

Baugh, a 6-foot-4 forward, had been rehabbing her left knee since undergoing a second anterior cruciate ligament in February. She had hoped to return this season.

Baugh had seen limited action since suffering a sprain of the knee in practice in January. She played in 14 games, starting 10 last season. She was averaging 6.5 points and 7.3 rebounds a game prior to the injury.

Baugh suffered her first ACL tear in the 2008 NCAA title game against Stanford.

Tennessee has three post players for the remainder of the season, Freshman post Faith Dupree is out because of back problems and sophomore Amber Gray is recovering from both shoulder and brain surgeries.
