LONDON, Sept 3 - England opener Joe Denly made it
a week to forget on Thursday when he followed up his Old
Trafford duck with a knee injury courtesy of an Owais Shah
tackle in a soccer match in training.
Denly is a doubt for England's first one-day international
against Australia on Friday after being carried off the Oval
pitch and will undergo a scan, an English Cricket Board
statement read.
The 23-year-old was top scorer on his debut against Ireland
in August with 67 but went for a duck in the first Twenty20
international abandoned last Sunday.
