The Jaguares are up and running in the opening round of Super Rugby with a comfortable 39-26 win over the Southern Kings in Port Elizabeth.
The Argentinians did the bulk of damage in the first twenty minutes of the second half where Leonardo Senatore and Joaquin Tuculet both crossed in quick succession.
Gonzalo Bertranou scored the only try of an edgy first half where both sides exchanged four penalties.
The Jaguares continued to tick the scoreboard over in threes after the break through the boot Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias before Senatore and Tuculet's tries pushed the visitors lead out to 27 points.
The Southern Kings showed some fight towards the end as the Jaguares discipline let them down.
Makazole Mapimpi scored for the Kings in the 67th minute before Felipe Ezcurra and Matias Moroni were both yellow carded.
The Kings made the most of the two man advantage with a final try from Luzuko Vulindlu to add some respectability to the scoreline.
