No structural knee damage for Packers RB Josh Jacobs

NFL, Green Bay Packers

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Packers running back Josh Jacobs is considered week to week after additional tests Monday showed no structural damage to the knee he injured in Sunday's win at the New York Giants.

Jacobs left in the first half and was ruled out for the rest of the game.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur expressed initial concern about the injury after Sunday's game, but on Monday, he said there's a chance Jacobs could play this weekend against the Vikings.

"Potentially," LaFleur said. "We'll see where it's at. It's a contusion, so it's just more or less trying to get the swelling down. And unfortunately, that's a pretty hard surface over there, and sometimes the byproduct of that."

Packers quarterback Jordan Love also left the game briefly Sunday, missing seven plays in the first half while getting checked out for an injured left shoulder. Love said after the game the injury to his non-throwing shoulder was noticeable but manageable.

LaFleur said Monday that Love was sore but "doing good."
