Day 4 recap: The Jets addressed major needs, but not with any high-profile players — DTs Byron Cowart and Jay Tufele and TE Stone Smartt. They also re-signed LB Jamin Davis. These are depth signings; they won't be starting for the Jets. GM Darren Mougey is taking a conservative approach in free agency, emphasizing quantity over quality. It doesn't give the fans a lot to be excited about, but it helps them fill out the bottom third of the roster. It puts a lot of pressure on Mougey to draft well.
