News: 5 days agoSuns head coach Mike Budenholzer said Saturday that he had no update regarding when Martin (sports hernia) would be ready to play, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports. "He's putting work in. I think he's making progress, but I don't have an update on his expected return time," Budenholzer said. "I think we'll cross that bridge when we get to it."
Spin: After being acquired from the Hornets on Feb. 6, Martin has yet to make his Suns debut while he continues to recover from a sports hernia, an issue that cropped up in late January. A target date for Martin's return should emerge once he's taking part in full-contact practices, but at this stage of his recovery, he remains limited to light pregame work. Martin's absence looks as though it will stretch into March.
