ESPN Fantasy Projection: Woodruff looked like a rising star for Milwaukee not long ago, earning All-Star selections in 2019 and 2021. However, he has missed the better part of two seasons due to injury, including all of 2024, after undergoing surgery in October of 2023 to repair the anterior capsule in his right shoulder. While the Brewers will not commit to Woodruff being ready for Opening Day 2025, he was said to be in a good spot and throwing multiple bullpen sessions per week in January. Entering his age-32 season, Woodruff is a wild card for both the Brewers and fantasy managers. The innings floor is zilch and the workload ceiling is capped, but Woodruff's excellent track record of performance (career 3.10 ERA, 1.05 WHIP) will likely tempt some to roll the dice outside the top 200 picks or so overall.
