BALTIMORE -- Todd Bozeman has been fired as Morgan State's coach after a 13-year run. Morgan State athletic director Edward Scott announced Wednesday that he would not renew Bozeman's contract, saying, "It became clear we are not reaching our full potential on the court." Bozeman owned a 195-218 record with the Bears and leaves as the winningest coach in school history. Morgan State appeared in the NCAA tournament in 2009 and 2010 after earning an NIT bid in 2008. The Bears were 9-21 this season, 4-12 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Bozeman made a name for himself as coach at California, Berkeley, compiling a 63-35 record before resigning in 1996 after admitting he paid $30,000 to the parents of a player. Bozeman went without another head coaching job until Morgan State hired him in 2006.
