NEW YORK -- Anton Goff, the athletic director at Hartford for the past two-and-a-half years, has been hired for the same position at St. John's. Goff is the sixth athletic director in St. John's history. He succeeds Chris Monasch, who resigned in May 2015 after 10 years at the Big East school. The position was covered for 18 months on an interim basis. Goff was introduced at a news conference Monday. He was the athletic director at Division II Bowie State for three-and-a-half years and has worked at Maryland, Michigan State and Kent State. A wide receiver at Bowling Green from 1986-89, Goff received his Bachelor of Science and master's degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University.
