Christian Kessee transfers to Memphis

Memphis has added guard Christian Kessee to its roster as a graduate transfer, coach Tubby Smith announced in a news release Friday.

Kessee was the leading scorer for Coppin State last season, averaging 14.6 points per game. He made 39.5 percent of his 3-point attempts and attempted 7.2 shots per game beyond the arc.

As a graduate transfer, Kessee will be able to play immediately in 2016-17.
