Cornell has parted ways with Bill Courtney, the school announced Monday. "I appreciate Coach Courtney's diligent efforts and his dedication to our student-athletes over the past six years," athletic director Andy Noel said in a statement. "He is a first-class individual and I wish him success in his future endeavors." Courtney, 45, was the head coach of the Big Red for five seasons. He was 50-95 heading into this campaign, and this season Cornell went 10-18, and 3-11 in the Ivy League. Cornell was just 2-26 in 2013-14, and the team never finished above .500 under Courtney -- who replaced Steve Donahue when Donahue left for Boston College. Courtney had previously been an assistant coach at Virginia Tech, Virginia, Providence, George Mason, Bowling Green and American.
