Kea's HR ends it for Hawai'i in 11th inning

Little League World Series

Aukai Kea threw the first pitch of the game and later hit the last one for a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to give Hawai'i a 2-0 victory over Georgia on Friday night in a game that was tied for the longest in the recorded history of the Little League World Series.

Earlier, Michigan rallied from a three-run deficit in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat Idaho 5-4 on Ryan Knaebel's walk-off single. Of the eight games played through the first two days of the LLWS, six have featured a team coming from behind to win.

On the international side, Japan defeated Spain 11-1 in five innings, while Panama beat Canada 8-3.

Saturday's schedule features four elimination games, as the eight teams in action will be fighting an uphill battle after starting 0-1. Since the LLWS expanded from eight to 16 teams in 2001, no team has gone on to win the championship after losing its first game.
