Ryder Cup 2025: Europe has big lead after Saturday matches

LIV Golf Invitational Series, Golf, PGA TOUR

Things aren't looking good for Team USA at the Ryder Cup after the first two days. Europe dominated the play again on Saturday and take an 11.5-4.5 lead into Sunday, needing just 2.5 points to retain the Cup.

Team Europe took three of four matches early in the day in the foursomes, with only Bryson DeChambeau and Cameron Young winning their matchup. A similar situation unfolded in the afternoon four-balls, with Xander Schauffele and J.J. Spaun winning the lone U.S. point. Rory McIlroy is 3-0-1 through four matches, while Tommy Fleetwood is 4-0.

Here are some of the best moments from Saturday.

Europe has commanding lead after Saturday morning

For the second straight day, Team Europe won three out of the four matches during the morning foursomes (alternate shot). Bryson DeChambeau and Cameron Young put the first point of the morning on the board for the U.S., but that was it, with Europe winning the other three matches to take an 8.5-3.5 lead into the Saturday afternoon four-ball (best ball) matches. -- ESPN staff
