CHICAGO -- Carl Montgomery had 22 points and 17 rebounds and Christian Wall scored 18 points as Chicago State pulled away in the second half to defeat Concordia, Ill., 81-61 in a season opener Friday night.
Chicago State led only 33-30 at intermission but dominated the second half against the Division III school from west suburban River Forest.
Hajji Martin scored 10 points off the bench for host Chicago State.
