SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The new Little League World Series champions are going to be honored with a celebration at the New York State Fair. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that the Maine-Endwell Little League team will be feted with a special ceremony on Thursday. Members of the Maine-Endwell community near Binghamton in south-central New York can get into the state fair for free that day. Tickets will be available at local businesses on Wednesday. The Maine-Endwell team is the first New York team to win the Little League World Series since 1964. It completed an undefeated season on Sunday by winning the championship, beating South Korea 2-1. The players were honored in their hometown with a parade on Monday.
