The confetti has fallen on the 2025 MLB season, as the Los Angeles Dodgers completed a Game 7 comeback for the ages and claimed their second straight World Series championship, this time over the American League champion Toronto Blue Jays.
The star-studded Dodgers -- featuring Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts -- will return as the favorites to win the 2026 World Series, followed by the New York Yankees, Houston Astros and Philadelphia Phillies. The Blue Jays open at 20-1, tied with the Chicago Cubs for 11th.
The Seattle Mariners, the AL runners-up, open at 14-1, while the Milwaukee Brewers, who had the league's best record in 2025, open at 18-1.
At the other end of the spectrum, the Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies open at 500-1.
