The Oklahoma City Thunder captured their first NBA championship since moving to Oklahoma, and now Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and crew are the favorites to do it again in 2026. The Thunder open as championship favorites, with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Denver Nuggets, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers next in line. The Houston Rockets moved from 18-1 to +850 after trading for 15-time all star Kevin Durant before settling in at 14-1. The Eastern Conference champion Indiana Pacers are 80-1, as they will be missing leading scorer Tyrese Haliburton, who went down with a right leg injury in Game 7 of the NBA Finals. The Boston Celtics, missing Jayson Tatum, opened at 14-1 before slipping to 30-1. The Dallas Mavericks, who took Cooper Flagg with the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft, will start the season at 33-1, as they will be missing Kyrie Irving for at least the first half of the season..
